About Matt Dunn
Matt Dunn, a Maryland native, has made a significant impact on the lacrosse world, both as a player and a mentor. During his collegiate career at the University of Maryland, Dunn earned the distinction of being a 2x Division I All-American.
In his professional career, Dunn has been a consistent force on the field, earning an impressive 7 All-Star selections. His excellence in defense was recognized when he was named the Dave Pietramala Defensive Player of the Year and earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team. Dunn’s leadership and defensive skills have twice earned him the title of the pro league’s top defenseman.
Beyond his playing career, Dunn is also a co-founder of First Class Lacrosse Defensive Training, an organization dedicated to helping players and coaches excel through in-person and online training tools. His commitment to the sport extends beyond his own achievements, as he works to elevate the next generation of lacrosse talent.
Currently, Matt Dunn plays for the Maryland Whipsnakes in the Premier Lacrosse League, where he has won two PLL championships. His combination of skill, experience, and leadership continues to make him one of the most respected defenders in professional lacrosse.
